5 Things to Know About Bobcats
Learn a few new facts about bobcats
Bobcats can be found in nearly all of the lower 48 states. These smaller cats can live in dense thickets, rocky canyons, swamps, and farmland.
I’ve seen bobcats a few times in the wild in Texas, and I’ve also included a few photos of them from my game camera at the end of this article.
Without any further delay, here are a few interesting facts you might not know about bobcats.
1) Broad Diet
Most bobcats tend to eat smaller game, such as rabbits, squirrels, birds, and rodents. You also need to be careful if you keep your pets outside. Chickens also seem to be a favorite meal. Bobcats often hunt during the twilight hours.
2) Solitary Animals
You won’t ever have to worry about coming across a pack of bobcats in the woods. These animals are nearly always alone. A male bobcat will have an established territory, but it will overlap with several females. (I wonder why?!)
3) Unique Hunting Technique
