Knowing how to recognize red flags is key to staying safe and saving you from a lot of heartache.

These scams often start with a profile that seems just perfect. If your online love interest looks like a model, shares all your interests, and immediately seems smitten, be veryyyy cautious. Scammers often create ideal profiles to lure victims.

2) Rapid Escalation of Affection

Scammers typically move much faster compared to a genuine relationship. If someone you’ve just met online is already professing deep feelings or love, it’s a MAJOR red flag. Real relationships take a while to develop, and it’s never instantaneous.
