I agree with everything you said.

I really wish Medium would require people to use a name and face photo. It would get rid of half of these fake bot/AI accounts.

Making a publication invitation only would avoid a lot of problems. I still only add legit writers because most publications are overun with AI content.

I'm not sure if they can't see it or just choose not to deal with it.
