I don't think the new payment system is implemented yet. Most people are making nothing while getting reads.

Here are my stats to give you a better idea.

Jan 7 - 25 cents (187 reads)

Jan 8 - 7 cents (123 reads)

Jan 9 - 30 cents (148 reads)

So, hopefully things get worked out sooner or later or Medium will have no one here writing for free.
