I know what you mean. I've been guilty of doing that in the past, but some people do it non-stop, and it's just rehashing the same thing 100 different times.

I've also seen a lot of misinformation where one person interprets something wrong, and then it results in 50 more articles from different writers talking about something that isn't even true.

Hopefully, this change will cut down on all that, and writers will move on to other topics. The challenge is that it's much harder to build an audience whenever someone is writing about other things besides Medium. It's still possible, but it takes time, and most people don't have the patience for it.
