It's most likely a combination of both. Many human writers are trying to game the system because they think engagement makes someone rich, but they forgot that it's about building genuine relationshps. Not how many times you can say "Great article" on 50 articles in 10 minutes.

I just block and report the obvious AI or spam accounts.
