Dealing with an internet connection that feels like you are back on dial-up in 1997 is never a fun experience. Constantly waiting for a page to load or dealing with random drops makes it next to impossible to do anything. However, following a few tips can help improve your connection and save you from a lot of unnecessary stress. While it may not result in amazing speeds, it can be possible to boost the speed of your internet.

Here are some things to keep in mind if your internet connection is slow or nearly stopped.

Check Your Router

The first thing to inspect is your router. An outdated or malfunctioning router can make it difficult to perform even basic tasks. Rebooting your router can improve your connection, but you may want to consider making an upgrade if one is available from your provider.
