The Friend of Medium Tier became available near the beginning on this month. Instead of paying $5 per month, you will pay $15 per month. (The money is also prorated until your subscription renews)

It's designed to support other writers, as they will receive four times the normal earnings if you read their articles. You can also share friend links, and they will earn from non-member views.

I don't usually make a lot on Medium, but my earnings have gotten much higher since I upgraded my account. However, some people haven't noticed much of a difference.
