The number of followers doesn’t mean a lot. I would say 90% of the writers with huge followings get little engagement.

Most of those followers are inactive accounts or bots. It’s not too hard to get a large number of followers if you have been around here a while.

I think I have around 4.7K followers and I only average around 100 reads per day.
