The top writers did make a lot of money a few years ago, but the payment system is different now.

Many "elite" writers made 5-8k a month here, while the vast majority of writers were lucky to make $100.

I don't think anyone is making a huge amount here now, but it's possible for normal writers to make a few hundred bucks or even a thousand if they put in a lot of work.
