Yes, and I completely understand how it's beneficial for someone to promote a book or other service. It also gives you more control because Medium is unpredictable.

My only point was that I'm not selling anything and the only money I make with my audience is with them reading my content on Medium. I don't have a website or anything like that to monetize readers.
