You are right about AI detectors being useless. I do know Medium manually reviews accounts before suspending them.

Sometimes, it’s a mistake and the writer can reach out to Medium and get reinstated.

AI writing often uses certain words and sentence structure. I can’t accept 80% of the people asking to join my publication because they are all using AI.

My best advice is to write in your own voice and talk about your experiences. A lot of people only publish informational content and it’s almost always AI. Even if it wasn’t, it’s very boring to read.
